This is the bright, fresh dish that your holiday table needs!
Cranberry Orange Relish
Equipment
- Food processor
Ingredients
- 16 oz fresh cranberries, about 5 cups
- 1 navel orange, peel and fruit
- ¾ cup raw pecans
- ¼ cup sugar
Instructions
- Wash the cranberries and the orange thoroughly. Cut the orange into chunks, removing the end pieces.
- In the food processor, pulse the cranberries until they are finely chopped but not mushy. Empty into a large bowl. Next, pulse the orange chunks until the orange and peel are finely chopped, making sure that there are no large pieces of peel left. Empty into the bowl. Finally, pulse the pecans until they are finely chopped and add them to the bowl.
- Pour the sugar over the chopped cranberries, orange and pecans, and mix well until the relish is fully combined. Taste and add more sugar if you prefer a sweeter relish. Garnish with whole cranberries and sliced orange.
- Serve as a bright side dish, or you can prep this dish the day before and store in an airtight container until the next day.
