This simple dessert screams summertime! It has less sugar than many other crumble recipes out there so the flavor of the strawberries really shines through.
Strawberry Brown Sugar Crumble

Ingredients
Strawberry Filling
- 5 cups ripe strawberries, washed with stems removed, with half cut in half and half kept whole
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
Crumble Topping
- 3 tbsp butter, cut into small pieces
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ¾ cup flour
- ¼ cup almond flour
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- In a large bowl, add the washed and dried strawberries, with half kept whole and half cut in half. Next, add 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, lemon juice and chia seeds. Mix to combine thoroughly then pour the strawberries into the baking dish.
- Give the bowl a quick rinse and dry, then use the same large bowl to mix the crumble topping. Add the butter, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, vanilla, oats, flour and almond flour, using your hands to bring the mixture together. Sprinkle generously on top of the strawberries.
- Bake for about 35 minutes until the strawberries are bubbling and the crumble browns slightly. Allow the crumble to cool and set for at least 15 minutes, then serve with vanilla ice cream.
