These no-bake, dump-everything-into-one-bowl balls are great for both a little energy boost AND for breastfeeding people. The oats, ground flaxseed and hemp hearts all support lactation!
Energy & Lactation Oat Bites
Ingredients
- 2 cups organic rolled oats
- ⅓ cup ground flaxseed
- 2 scoops preferred protein powder
- ½ cup peanut butter, softened
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ⅛ cup raw pepitas
- ¼ cup raw almonds, chopped
- ¼ cup chia seeds
- ⅛ cup hemp hearts
- ¼ cup unsweetened desiccated coconut
- 1 tbsp dark chocolate, chopped or chips
- ⅓ cup freeze-dried raspberries or strawberries
- 1-1 ½ cups almond milk
Instructions
- Combine all of the ingredients, except the almond milk, in a large bowl. Add about a third of the the almond milk and begin mixing. Continue adding the almond milk and mixing well until all of the ingredients begun to bind together. If you can press a handful of the mixture together and it holds, you are ready to roll balls. If not, add small splashes of almond milk until you reach the desired consistency.
- Roll into 12 2-inch balls and place in an airtight container in the fridge for 4-5 hours before eating. These bites will last up to 4 days in the fridge!
