Jena's Famous Pasta Salad

This pasta salad is elite. And oh so simple!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs fusilli pasta
  • 1 cup dry Italian salami, diced
  • 1 ½ cups cherry tomatoes, diced
  • ¾ cup fresh basil, torn or chopped
  • ¾ cup parsley, chopped
  • 1 ½ cups shredded Parmesan cheese
  • Half of 1 bottle Newman's Own Family Recipe Italian Dressing
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and add the pasta. Cook the pasta, drain, and allow to cool fully. (Blasphemous tip: If you are in a hurry, for this recipe, you can run cold water over the pasta until it's cool)
  • While the pasta is cooking, chop up the salami, tomatoes, basil, and parsley.
  • Combine the cooked pasta, salami, tomatoes, basil, parsley, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Add half of the Italian dressing and mix well.
  • Once the pasta salad is fairly well mixed, add the rest of the Italian dressing. Mix well and serve.
  • Bonus: This pasta salad is even better after a few hours in the fridge and keeps well for 2-3 days.
